Ballybunion Nature Group is delighted to host a special screening of Dinnseanchas, a beautifully shot Irish film exploring how culture, community and creativity can help us navigate a changing climate. Commissioned by Hometree, a Clare-based nature restoration charity, the film weaves together voices from Ireland's western uplands, revealing the deep connections between people and place.
It will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q and A.
This is part of the Winter series for Ballybunion Nature Group. It is a free event which will take place in St Joseph's Secondary School (V31RT61) on Doon Road, Ballybunion, Friday 28th November at 7.30pm.
Remember, to join the Ballybunion Nature Group, just send them an email request through [email protected] to be placed on the email list, along with your phone number, to be included in the WhatsApp group. Everyone welcome

Ballybunion Nature Group are delighted to be hosting a lovely evening with Rob Fell called
Ainmneacha Gaeilge don Dúlra - Irish Names for Nature.
At Ballybunion Community Centre, this Friday, 24th October, 7-9pm.

Rob Fell hails from Firies, Co. Kerry and now lives in the Gaeltacht of Corca Dhuibhne. He has had a lifelong interest in nature, which he has brought firmly into his approach to teaching national school pupils. Rob is a celebrated traditional musician and is inspired by the connection between nature and traditional Irish music.
As part of this very first lecture of the Ballybunion Nature Group, Rob will present the various names and meanings of Irish animals and broader nature. With the recent passing of Manchán Magan, this promises to be a special night of exploring a deeper connection with the natural world that surrounds us.

If you are attending, feel free to bring along your own music.
