I am a local mum with 4 children aged between 4 years - 15yrs old. I started singing when I moved to London, at the age of 19, and have been singing in an amateur capacity ever since. I have been very lucky to have had 4 years of expert training by Sally Ann Fitzgerald from the West Cork School of Voice. I wrote songs when I was younger but when I had my first child 1
5 years ago it all stopped as life got too busy. However, I commenced writing in 2013 and was lucky enough to record and release an album of 12 songs in November 2013. Huge thanks to Alan Brooks & Brian Casey for all their inputs. I am currently working on Album No. 2 with a view to releasing it in 2015, so exciting times on the horizon. I set up Melody Matters as I know how much I would have loved to sing as a child. I know how much it can boost a child’s confidence and self-esteem and that is oh so important. What more to say? We accept all levels of singers and no previous singing experience is essential. However, your child must have a desire to sing and an ability to read lyrics is also needed as unfortunately I don't have the time to sit with each child individually. If your child is aged between 8 and 16 years old, and likes to sing and have fun - come and join us. We also run a class for the 3-7 year age group .
