βοΈ Aer Lingus have annouced two important updates for passengers travelling from Ireland to the the UK
1) New Passport requirements for travel from Ireland to the UK.
From 25 February 2026, new travel documentation requirements will take effect and if youβre travelling on a flight between the Republic of Ireland and the UK with Aer Lingus, youβll need a passport or Irish passport card to check in for and to board your flight.

This does not apply to domestic flights between Belfast and other parts of the UK or between Dublin and Donegal.
2)ETA/eVisa
If youβre travelling to the UK and are not a British or Irish national, you may also need to obtain a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or eVisa.
The UK Home Office will fully enforce the requirement for ETA/eVISA from 25 February 2026. Youβll need an ETA unless you already have a UK visa or other UK immigration permission.
Please ensure you have the correct travel documentation to avoid any disruption on the day.
