**Thank you so much**
Well that was a wonderfully crazy busy couple of weeks 😅
The last few Summer Camps with my fabulous Anam Óige were spent hiking, extending our secret huts, building pretend fires and having water fights 🤣 There is nothing more beautiful to see than when imagination kicks in and kids allow themselves to be kids 🤗 Thank you to the parents/guardians that took the time to drop them to me and pick up a soggier muckier version of them later 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks also to my fantastic helpers, Killian, Clare and Patch 🤗💜
In the middle of all that madness, I had the absolute pleasure of spending 3 days guiding a super group of Belgians from around our always stunning Cooley Mountains 😁
From Sliabh Foy, Eagles Rock, Black Mountain, Carnawaddy, Barnavave and all the bits in between, we hiked, chatted, sang songs and I also learned how to shout "car" in several languages 🤣
A truly lovely group of humans.. thank you all and a massive thank you to for being my right-hand woman 🤗
So all in all it's been so much fun and although my body was a tad tired, my soul was buzzing 😁
Grá mór mo chairde álainn 💜

**To the person who butchered another Fairy Tree 🥺**
I am so sorry for the not happy Friday vibe of this post but I genuinely can't leave it! I am so upset and disappointed with the type of people who think it's ok to go camping in a beautiful place and destroy it!!
I don't even care who comes at me about this! I don't care what you say or how you try to justify it because there is absolutely nothing you can say that will do that!
You made a conscious decision to carry a saw up, cut down a tree, lift rocks out of ancient walls, light a fire on dry mountain ground, leave it smouldering and then head home! Probably delighted with yourself for being out "wild" camping!
I am hoping it was pure ignorance that made you think that this was ok!
Regardless of whether they are fairy trees or any other tree, what gave you the right to cut them down!
Apart from your lack of knowledge that a living tree is not good for burning, you didn't even consider what would have happened if the ground had caught fire!
Those trees have been there for at least as long as I can remember and this is the second one destroyed by selfish people!
I have camped all my life. From before it was called wild camping.. we just had camping! There was no other option! But I can tell you this much, the only way you would ever have known where we had camped would be a small patch of flattened grass and true campers will always leave no trace.
I hope you see this, I hope you are sorry and I hope you will never do this again 🥺
The only positive I can take from this is that my wonderful Junior Hikers, who were also upset by the destruction, set to and tidied it all up and made sure the fire was out 🤗
I am so proud of them. It's a shame that these "grown ups" haven't got the same care for our environment..
Sorry for the rant...actually I am not!
I know there are more good than bad people so let's keep going and take care of this beautiful land we are lucky to live on..

I couldn't make up my mind, so here is a small random selection 🤗
This month's Moon will be the Sturgeon Moon and it reaches its full illumination tomorrow night 😁

💜Anam Tuath Mournes Hike 💜

What a day we had on Saturday!!
I headed off with my wonderful Anam Tuath to hike up the always beautiful Slieve Binnian and she didn't disappoint 🤗
It was a day full of laughs, chats and even a wee swim 😅
Nature provided us with snacks along the trail in the form of the frachógs (bilberries) which were in plentiful supply so we bounced all the way home 😋
Thanks so much to the fabulous humans who joined me and made it such a great day 😍
Can't wait for next weekend's hikes already 😁
Happy Monday wherever you may be agus grá mór 💜
P.s. thanks to and Veronica for some of the photos 🤗
