☘️ MARATHON IN DONEGAL ☘️

In 356 days the Donegal Wild Atlantic Marathon & Half Marathon will return ❤️🫢

After a 5 year hiatus this iconic event run entirely on the Wild Atlantic Way from Glencolmcille to Killybegs will be back.

This will form part of the Wild Atlantic Running festival including Sliabh Liag events on Saturday 29th May.

Registration will open tomorrow with a Super Early Bird offer 👌

Thursday could see some severe thunderstorms but details uncertain on this!

For Western Europe some very intense heat over the weekend with parts of France, Spain and Portugal seeing the high 30s. UK is also set to exeed 30°C.

Just something to note there is a chance of a break in the weather on Wednesday which could bring some big thunderstorms but this is a week away yet but has been forecast on the last few ECMWF runs.

Donegal County Council is delighted to welcome the announcement that the county has been awarded 11 Blue Flag beaches and marinas for 2026, placing Donegal second only to Kerry, which received 14 awards.
