I like to take the opertunity to congratulate my lovely wife Moggs on launching her 1st children's book 'Myths and Meridians'. A book both parents and kids can enjoy. The overall aim of the book is to teach health and wellness to kids with the assistance of some Irish legends 📖 😇🥰

Who would have know my proudest moment would have come after we closed our doors. 🙏😁

We might have closed this summer, however it has allowed us to enjoy festivals like this that we miss every year. It's funny that the 1st year this festival took place we opened up at the lake and here it is again the year we closed....way too long of wait and hopefully it will become the annual event this town deserves Well done everyone involved in making this happen 👏 👍

What started as assignment in my final year in the GMIT (now the ATU / GMIT Outdoor Education Courses ) turned in to 9 years of a career in the outdoors.

Over the 9 years I got to work some fantastic people and excellent instructors. This is probably my last post so I wanted to thank as many of them as I could (couldn't find a picture of all of them). They were the ones who brought the adventure to life for so many people, I just provided the setting.

I'll miss the pizza on the Friday evening, the wreaked my head moments😆 and the everyday love ye show everyone of our clients👌...you were all amazing❤️👏👏

Most of them were from the local college outdoor ed program and have since gone on to carve successful careers in different industries, while some stayed in the outdoors. The rest were home grown talent who started off in our adventure camps and then progress to become instructors, something I'm hugely proud of.

A huge thanks to Deirdre and the gang Tobin Consulting Engineers who were the very last group we will be taking out on the water. Conditions couldn't have been any better for the last farewell paddle on Lough Lannagh with Mayo Adventure Experience 🚣‍♂️🏄‍♀️🚣‍♀️🚣🏄🏼‍♂️🏊

‼️Important Announcement ‼️

I have deceided I will be closing the doors of Mayo Adventure Experience on 30th June 2023. Our insurance runs out at the end of June 23 and we decided not to renew it. This obviously means that all our activity on the lake after that date will not go ahead, including camps.

I would like to thank everyone for all the support over the years, to all the kids who made the adventure camps the success they are. We created nine years of great memories (this would have been our 10th summer)and we also achieved so much more.

Thanks to all our instructors and junior instructors who worked so hard to create so many memories for kids, This was truly the biggest adventure we’ve been on so far.

There are too many people to thank here so I'll thank them in person. Lough Lannagh has been a great host to kids, families, teams, groups all looking for adventures.

We wish you a wonderful summer and hope you find adventure wherever you go.
