Who knew Ireland could dish out such incredible pizza and… Mexican food?? 😋 With the hot weather, we wanted something a little different today so we tried the much-recommended Dough Bro’s for some wood-fired pizza + beers and enjoyed some authentic Mexican food and margs at Taquila for dinner.

We weren’t able to enjoy the beer garden version located inside/behind O’Connell’s Pub, but the Dough Bro’s brick & mortar location truly lived up to the hype! And even better, this location offered a gluten-free crust and even had gluten-free beer on the menu (yay for me!)

I’ve been really impressed with all the food we’ve had in Ireland so far not only in taste/quality, but they do such a good job of listing all ingredients and allergies so you can dine with peace of mind.

Now, it’s time to find somewhere to grab a quick milkshake to end the day so we can prep for the final leg of our journey tomorrow in Dublin! 🍻 Cheers!

From Killarney to the incredible Cliffs of Moher and finally to Galway! 🦪🎶 Road tripping through this country has been such a fun adventure in itself, and so far, the only complaint I have with Ireland is that everything is 1,000x more beautiful in person than it ever comes across in photos!

Tomorrow, we’ll explore Galway and enjoy some fresh seafood and local music before heading to Dublin on Thursday to finish up our trip.

Tons of fun to come - but for now, it’s time to recharge 🥱

TRAVEL TIP: To stay within/under budget when traveling to Europe, two of the most important perks we look for when booking a hotel are 1. complimentary breakfast and 2. access to public transit.

🍳 When you combine frequent walking and smaller portions than what we have here in the U.S., you may find yourself getting hungrier quicker and more often than you anticipate. This is why we make sure to find a hotel where we can enjoy a free (preferably buffet-style) breakfast each morning to start our day and load up on fuel to keep our meals smaller and less frequent during our visit.

🚉 A lot of European cities (that I’ve been to) have great public transit systems that can you almost anywhere you need to be (or at least greatly reduce your walking distance). Our hotel included a complimentary pass for the Bern tram system which picked us up directly outside our hotel door (literally 5 steps away) and dropped us off at the train station to take us to the airport. We used the tram to go to dinner, visit our friends, and rest our feet when a 10 minute walk was just too much at the end of a long day. No extra taxi fares or train tickets costs for us!

These little perks can really enhance your overall experience, and hotel staff are (typically) extremely knowledgeable about which routes to take and are happy to help you get where you need to be!
