I have 2 spaces left on a trip for next Saturday the 30 May. We will be aiming for some long drifts over the reefs west of Loophead.
€100 per person. Rod hire available at €10 per rod including some tackle.

We are back out doing a few day charters. There seem to be some nice sized Mackerel around which is nice to see. Plenty of Coalfish and Pollack. And the amount of pollack make a complete nonsense of this new bag limit.
We also tried up the estuary today for a Tope. We did have a run or 2 but no hook up. But a real bonus fish was a lovely Monkfish / Angel Shark. Nice to think they are making their way back up the estuary.

Shifting water!! On the way back down the estuary. A bit of survey work. At last the weather looks better and I’m looking forward to some steady fishing.

My bookings are just for day charters at the moment and the weather is playing havoc! We did get out today but just in the estuary as far as the Loop. A nice few mackerel and Pollack in the shelter just south of the head. Then onto anchor where the lads had some nice Bullhuss to 16lbs.

Our first day back this season on the Clare Dragoon. First stop at the Loop where we picked up a scatter of Mackerel and plenty Coalfish. Heading west we stopped on a few reefs and got some steady catches of Pollack. With just a few other fish through them. Then we ended the day with a lively Tope on the drift.
A nice first day!😎🎣🎣

Splash day!
Back to fishing soon although it is looking like we have some extra obstacles in our way besides the normal tricky weather!!
Between high fuel prices and a preposed 3 Pollack bag limit it’s not going to be easy!!
Still let’s hope for some adventures!!

Most of the work done on the Clare Dragoon now. As soon as the weather here on the west coast settles down we will be ready to go.
