Summer is coming, finally we can feel it… All the seedlings on our window sills will soon be planted out and our garden will burst into productivity… hopefully some of it making it onto your plates at our Thursday night gatherings and the surplus making its way to the shelves . If you fancy picking your own produce for a gorgeous summer supper in one of our cabins book now on our website.. we still have some availability through the summer months.

Gather @ Fernwood with Katie Sanderson and Jasper O’Connor

We are super excited to officially launch Gather, a pop up restaurant in our lovingly restored Booley! Katie, Jasper and friends will be cooking up a storm on Thursday nights between now and the end of May. Imagine gorgeous sharing plates with a strong focus on local produce, including our own organic lamb, Dexter beef and garden greens.

This project was born from long chats between Katie and I in our weekly sauna sessions over the past year… I may have planted the seed and boy am I happy it germinated!!!

Gathering… sheep being gathered off the mountain today for their winter health check. Our lamb boxes flew out the door again this year and the feedback has been just brilliant with lots of photos and recipe ideas hitting my chat… feels good to bring true Organic Connemara lamb to the market, even in a small way. 🙏🏻 if you feel like heading for the hills to beat the January ‘meh’ we have availability in The Bothy this weekend and beyond. A little hello to all our new followers and thank you to for sharing our very special corner of this world.

The Quay House, where Laura stayed, is where Simon and I set out on our journey together and was our first home and then became our first rental in Connemara. Needless to say it is super special to us and will always hold the best memories of all the hopes and dreams we had starting out, almost twenty years ago 🤫

From there we went on to find our forever home and continued to do what we love, welcoming guests to share our truly amazing environment. On the farm or by the sea our passion for the environment is at the core of everything we do. We are so grateful to be able to welcome you gorgeous people to share in our journey along the way. 🙏🏻
