WE ARE HIRING 🫧
We want to give a very heartfelt thank to our housekeeper Lydia for taking care of Ashe St Townhouse and preparing it so beautifully for our guests over the past few years. Sadly Lydia is moving on and now we are seeking a new housekeeper. Lydia brought a whole new dimension of humour, artistic sentiment and fabulous attention to detail and she will be very sadly missed by us and our little townhouse. I feel that they grew to be great friends! Nothing was too much trouble for Lydia & her shoes will be hard ones to fill. A huge, grateful shout out Lydia 🙏🏼

And also to who has stepped into the breech while we find our next perfect match. Liina is also a perfectionist (we like those!) and has many, many years of hospitality experience, so we know Ashe St is always in good hands when Liina is in the house! Liina - grateful doesn’t even come close, thank you so much.

We have been so fortunate to have had such sensational housekeepers on our Ashe St. journey & and now we’re looking for someone to step into these shoes. Check our 2nd slide for more info - we’d love to hear from you.

It’s time for 5 Ashe St. to re-open its front door & welcome back guests old and new. We bought this little traditional street house late in 2015 and spent 2016 obtaining heritage permission and working with an architect and builder to renovate our 216 year old home. It has been a great pleasure for us and we hope you will enjoy staying here literally right in the centre of town.

We have enjoyed scouring the charity shops, second hand furniture stores as well as buying new things too, to furnish the house. We wanted to retain as many of the original features as we could along with creating a comfortable and safe place to stay with modern conveniences.

We hope the history of the house shows through, as it has many stories to tell. We have had some lovely conversations with guests and locals who have a connections to the house - long may it continue!
