But sometimes guests want the whole country house food and our home baking experience. It’s exactly what we give them….
Fluffy scones, flapjacks, baked french toast, brown soda bread, savoury tarts, fruit salads, granola and farmhouse yoghurts. And that’s before you order a Full Irish! 🥓

Just over the hill from Dunowen is a quiet lane that brings you to one of the most beautiful bays and views in all of West Cork.

No matter what time of year, it’s a favourite early morning walk for us. The landscape, flora and fauna change constantly. Sometimes the bay is calm and aqua in colour, other times there’s a swell and white horses on a grey Atlantic Ocean.

Let’s keep this secret spot just between ourselves 🤫💚💙

We’ve a busy week ahead with guest changeovers then hosting a three day wedding celebration for a group of 16 this weekend. I love intimate weddings 🥰

The gorgeous weather definitely put a pep in everyone’s step….not hard to work your way through that To Do list when the sun is shining. Fingers crossed it stays perfect for the rest of the week ☀️

I started the week strong, let’s see if I can keep it going 😅

When you can’t suppress your inner vintage granny vibe 👵🏻💙

I’ve been wanting to hang some of the antique plates & platters I had stored in boxes and thought the cooker hood in the main house was an ideal spot for them.

I found plate hooks in a lovely old hardware shop in Enistymon earlier in the week. I’m really pleased with how it lifts the space, I think I’ll never be able to call myself minimalist no matter how much I’d like to be!!
