It is located just 2 minutes walk above the village but yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of its surroundings. It backs onto Keel Hill, allowing our guests a choice of leisurely hill walks or sandy beaches to explore. It is an ideal location for painting, golf, hill walking, surfing, canoein

g, cycling, fishing, photography, etc., or more importantly, unwinding from the stress of every day life. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.

We had the pleasure of having Angela Lansbury staying in Achill Isle House - Bed and Breakfast in the 1990,s.
She was a delight to have in our house and made her self at home. In an interview with the Irish Independent in 2016 she said "Achill is one of my favorites. It was the first place I visited in Ireland as a child,"
"I never forgot it and I always go back. I go back to all the old haunts. I am an Irish-British actress."
She loved telling stories of her childhood visits.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Wednesday 21st June 2017 at 9pm.
Meet at the Deserted Village (graveyard) information sign at 9pm where we will walk to the side of Slievemore to a vantage point and view the sunset over the Wild Atlantic Way. Return to the deserted Village to meet your Dark Sky Ambassador where you will be taken on a journey through the stars. (weather permitting)
