: Africa Showcase North America 2025

“The North American market is a very important market for Seychelles, sitting among our top ten globally. What makes it particularly exciting is that most travellers here are already planning a safari across different parts of Africa, whether East, West, or South, and then coming to us thereafter as a beach destination. We are a year-round destination, so the opportunity is always open. It has been an amazing week at Africa Showcase.” — Christine Vel, Tourism Seychelles, Seychelles

North America continues to demonstrate exactly the kind of multi-destination thinking that makes it one of Africa’s most commercially exciting source markets. Africa Showcase returns to the region 15–20 November 2026. More to come.

: Africa Showcase Mitteleuropa 2025

“Switzerland is a premium market – people really do travel, and we really offer the kind of product they are looking for, especially pre- and post-safari. Germany has always been the capital of travel in Europe, so it’s an extremely important market. Kwetu Nairobi has that leisure feel, those open-air areas in the hotel, and we feel we have the right product for this market.” — Alexandre Glauser, General Manager, Kwetu Nairobi, Curio Collection by Hilton, Kenya

Mitteleuropa remains one of Africa’s most commercially significant source markets, and last year’s roadshow brought that into sharp focus for many of our exhibitors. Africa Showcase returns to the region 28 September–2 October 2026, extending into the Benelux region for the very first time! Stay tuned for more.

Most Africa Day posts will tell you that Africa is diverse and extraordinary. You already know that. After all, you’ve been selling it for years.

You know that the light in the Okavango at five in the morning is unlike anything else on earth, and that specific silence that falls over a game drive vehicle when a leopard appears in a tree. You know what it sounds like when a first-time traveller calls you after they get home, still not quite able to explain what happened to them out there.

You did not choose to sell Africa because it was the easiest option. Long-haul can be complicated. The clients need more context and more reassurance than almost any other destination. And yet here you are, still making the case, still building the itineraries, still fighting for a continent that gives back everything you put in and then some.

So today, on behalf of the suppliers, operators, guides, and conservancies that depend on the work you do, thank you. Africa is extraordinary. But so are the people who sell it.

Happy Africa Day.

: Africa Showcase Central Eastern Europe 2025

“Visiting this region has been very interesting for us – we have seen the growth in the economy, the growth in the GDP, as well as the growth in the interest to visit East Africa as a safari destination. Romania has been the most interesting because it’s a new market for us and we feel that the buyers are very interested and hungry for new information, knowledge, and partners. I’m very excited to be here once again with Africa Showcase.” — Abbas Takim, Takims Holidays, Tanzania

Central Eastern Europe is emerging as one of the more compelling conversations in African tourism right now, and last year’s roadshow showed exactly why. Africa Showcase returns to the region 21–25 September 2026. Watch this space.

: Africa Showcase Australasia 2025

"Africa Showcase Australasia is a well-organised roadshow with quality meetings. It’s really been an amazing opportunity for Shamwari to showcase our products and offerings to an emerging market. The Australian market is a really strong emerging market for us with interest in South Africa, and so it’s just really been a great opportunity to connect face-to-face with some amazing buyers.” — Vanessa Grebe, Shamwari Private Game Reserve, South Africa

The energy across Australasia last year made it clear that this market is ready for Africa. Africa Showcase returns to Australia from 20–31 July 2026 to build on those connections and open new doors with the region’s leading buyers. Stay tuned for more from this key source market.

Selling African travel successfully is about story-telling and sharing a dream. And this is a real feel-good story to share. At our event in Stockholm last week at Fotografiska, the founder of our catering company – Filip Lundin – shared his vision with our attendees.

He has dedicated over ten years to reducing food waste, creating jobs for marginalized communities, and donating meals to those in need. In November 2025 his catering company SOPKÖKET won the Global Citizen Small Business Impact Award in Johannesburg during the G20 Summit. And recently they got nominated for Stockholm Cities “Nelson Mandela Award” for their work!
