📍 Meeting Point: Doolin Ferry Co. Ticket Sales Office, Doolin Pier, County Clare at 09:30.
📅 Date: Saturday, 14th June 2025
⏰ Departure to Inisheer: 10:00
⏰ Return to Doolin Pier: 17:00
(Travel on the Doolin Express Ferry)
💶 Ferry Ticket: €30 per person (quote “Pius”). Free for those with a Free Travel Pass—don’t forget to bring yours!
💶 Inspirational Walk Fee: €40 per person, payable in cash on the day.
🍴 Lunch Options: Bring a packed lunch or treat yourself to a healthy meal at Teach an Tae, Inisheer.
🏖️ Free Time: Enjoy a swim at Inisheer Beach, close to the pier.

On Wednesday 14th June 2023, Pius Murray will lead a guided walk, on the island of Inisheer (Inis Oirr), Aran Islands, to celebrate the Pattern Day of Caomhan, patron saint of the island.
Meeting point: Doolin Ferry Company Ticket Sales Office, Doolin Pier at 09.30am.

Tickets for this guided walk (including ferry ticket) €50 per person.
People with the Free Travel Pass have free travel on the ferry so ticket price is reduced to €25 per person.

It is not too late to book your place on my guided walk of Scattery Island.

Join me as we explore this early Christian settlement founded by St. Senan, who was born in the area. The round tower on the island is 36 metres high, one of the tallest in Ireland.

We will depart from Kilrush Marina at 10am on Easter Monday.

Join me on a guided walk of Scattery Island/ Inish Cathaigh on Easter Monday, April 10th in aid of National Pilgrim Paths Week 2023.

Inish Cathaigh or Scattery Island is an island in the Shannon Estuary, off the coast of Kilrush, County Clare. The island is home to a lighthouse, a ruined monastery, an Irish round tower and the remains of an artillery battery. Saint Senan is patron of Scattery Island.
