In my previous career as a wedding co-ordinator, I had the privilege of creating many memorable celebrations for hundreds of couples, all with different expectations and budgets. I was delighted to have the opportunity to create a page for the St Ernan’s N.S. Homework Journal for the 2026/2027 school year.

St Ernan’s holds a very special place in my heart. It is where I went to school myself and now, all these years later, Lucy has begun her final year there. Where have those years gone?

I wanted the page to be bright, fun and educational, with a few little reminders that learning can take you anywhere in the world 🌍📚

Celebrity Infinity: Small‑Ship Charm, Big on Loyal Fans

Celebrity Infinity is one of those ships that people fall in love with and return to year after year. A stylish mid‑size ship, it feels friendly and familiar the moment you step on board: easy to find your way around, with a warm, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of cosy bars and lounges where guests quickly find “their” spot.

Infinity is a brilliant choice for 7‑night sailings around the Greek Isles and Croatia. She is compact enough to slip into classic ports and tender stops like Santorini and Mykonos, yet still offers all the hallmarks of modern Celebrity cruising: quality dining, a proper spa, varied entertainment and great outdoor deck space for those unforgettable sail‑away moments.

Days are spent wandering whitewashed villages, exploring historic Croatian towns and relaxing in waterfront cafés, before heading back on board for a swim, sunset cocktails and dinner with sea views.

A little crew appreciation ❤️⚓️

As an ex cruise ship crew member, I know what life behind the scenes really looks like.

I’ve stood in their shoes. I’ve spent long contracts at sea, missed family milestones, birthdays and celebrations, and found a second family in my ship family.

And I know only too well that the longest day of the week is always turnaround day!

So today, as I prepare to leave Oceania Vista, I simply want to say thank you to the wonderful crew.

Thank you for the smiles, the conversations, the incredible service and all those little touches that guests may never realise happen behind the scenes.

A beautiful ship is one thing, but it’s the people who bring her to life.

To the crew of Oceania Vista, thank you for looking after us so wonderfully. From one former crew member to another, I see you, I appreciate you, and I know just how hard you work. ❤️⚓️

When you are not in one of the anazing speciality restaurants onboard, the Grand Dining Room is where Vista shines. Airy, bright, effortlessly elegant, with a clean, modern feel.

Open every evening and for breakfast each morning, the Grand Dining Room is a calm light-filled space, modern, elegant, and welcoming.

🇮🇪 Di**le today… and I was absolutely blown away by the views! 💚

The skies were blue, the sun was shining and Di**le was looking absolutely beautiful as we arrived this morning.

There was such a lovely buzz on board, with passengers genuinely excited to step ashore and walk on Irish soil. Once the ship had been cleared by the local authorities, the tender process began and we made our way into gorgeous Di**le.

There’s something very special about seeing your own country through the eyes of visitors. Hearing their excitement, watching them take in the scenery and seeing that first glimpse of the Irish coastline from the ship made me feel incredibly proud. 🇮🇪

And with blue skies like these… Di**le certainly put on a show for us today! ☀️⚓️💚

When you spend 10 years working on board cruise ships, you make friends for life from all four corners of the world. 🌍⚓️

Since leaving ships, I’ve been so lucky to meet up with so many of my former fellow crew members again, and what I love is that they’re now spread across so many different cruise brands.

The cruise world really is a small one. People move ships, change cruise lines, move countries and take completely different paths, but those friendships remain.

And when you meet again, even after years apart, it’s amazing how quickly you’re transported back to those days at sea… the stories, the memories and plenty of laughs! 💙

Ten years working at sea gave me so much, but the friendships I made along the way will always be one of the very best parts. ⚓️🌍

What is there to do on board Oceania Vista? ✨🚢

One of the things I’m really enjoying is that there is always something happening, but never in a way that feels busy or overwhelming.

Everything seems to move at a beautifully relaxed pace, surrounded by the most luxurious, elegant surroundings.

You can spend a few hours learning something new at a hands on culinary class, get creative with an art class, join in with trivia or a scavenger hunt, or sit back and enjoy one of the fascinating talks about the destinations we are visiting.

If you fancy something a little more active, there’s pickleball and mini golf, while those looking to completely switch off can retreat to the gorgeous Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center for some proper relaxation.

And then, of course, there are w**e tastings 🍷, wonderful bars, beautiful lounges and plenty of quiet corners where doing absolutely nothing at all is equally acceptable!

That’s what I’m really appreciating about Oceania. You can fill your day with activities, learn something new, indulge in a little wellness, or simply enjoy the luxury of having nowhere you need to be.

And sometimes, doing absolutely nothing with a coffee and a sea view is the best activity of all! ⚓️🥂
