With the last few days being unsettled with some heavy falls of rain forecast tomorrow night.

Confidence is growing of high pressure pushing over Ireland over the weekend.This will bring much drier and settled conditions with some good autumnal sunshine.

Still time to change so we will keep an eye on the charts.

🚒🚨🔥Wildfire Updates Killarney National Park🚒🚨🔥

🚨Potential emerging wildfire flare-ups

🚨The N71 Killarney to Kenmare Road has been closed
until further notice due to ongoing fire prevention operations
in the area around Five Mile Bridge.

🚨It is being actively monitored by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and Kerry County Council (KCC).

🚨Flare-ups have since occurred in this area and some are in difficult to reach locations. The helicopter has been reactivated and will assist in reaching remote locations.

🚨 Big shout out to all the staff and crews who are working tirelessly to contain this devastating fire.

🌡️ ☀️ Another warm/hot day today with temperatures up to 28°C.

Warmest in the south and east where some good prolonged spells of sunshine.

In the north west cloud will persist and it will be much cooler.
