Arranmore RNLI - A new era:
With the opening of our new station, we at Arranmore RNLI are in the midst of a major shake up to showcase our fantastic facilities.
Not only do we have this huge building at the disposal of our very dedicated volunteer crew but we want to share our work with the public and invite groups to visit our station and meet our lifesaving volunteers.
Celebrating 141 years of saving lives on the north coast of Ireland we always had a dedicated crew willing to answer the call to those in peril on the sea.
The volunteer ethos has always been very strong on the island and we have now added new members to the fundraising crew and appointed a station visits officer headed by Launch Operations Manager Jerry Early and Lifeboat Press Officer Nora Flanagan and supported by five crew members.
We would like to invite groups of people to visit our station, meet our crew, see how the station works and listen to the fascinating history of the Arranmore RNLI from daring rescues to the ordinary people who help us continue to save lives for the next 141 years.
If you would like to visit our station please contact either Jerry or Nora to book a date and time.
Group sizes according to age:
Primary school children: group of 6 accompanied by 2 teachers.
Secondary school: group of 10 accompanied by 2 teachers.
Adults: group of 10-15
We aim to keep the groups small in order to deliver the best interactive experience and presentations can be tailored to suit the relevant groups.
Please book your visit two weeks in advance in order to facilitate station crew.
We are a working station on call twenty four hours a day, all year round, dedicated to saving lives. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you at Arranmore Lifeboat Station.
We are crew and our mission is to save everyone.
