John Molloy Woollen Mills is a Family run business located in Ardara, Co.Donegal, on Ireland's North West Atlantic Coast, a region noted for its rugged natural beauty, and tradition in Hand Knitting, Weaving, Sheep Farming and Fishing. With five generations experience to draw on, each garment is produced in our factory in Ardara with natural yarns and tells a story of ancient Ireland, it's culture

, it's tradition and skill, that have been passed lovingly from generation to generation. John Molloy manufactures a range of Men's and women's garments for export to fashion houses around the world. Our range embraces both traditional Irish Hand knit Aran Fisherman's sweaters and contemporary fashion knitwear and accessories, which are still handknitted in homes all over County Donegal. John Molloy's Donegal Tweed includes fabrics, jackets, caps, rugs and ties. Come along and visit our factory and shop and see our garments being made before you eyes.

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Leona Hutchinson to our factory yesterday! ✨ She brought with her something truly incredible, a piece she purchased right here in our shop 56 years ago, back in 1969, hand-woven by John Molloy himself. ☘️

Seeing one of our pieces from years gone by, still treasured and in such beautiful condition, is the perfect reminder of how timeless craftsmanship and quality really do stand the test of time.
