Time to come home. T4ās final European destinationā¦.Dublin, Ireland. The Home of Fresh Grassfed Butter, Cheese, Creamy Milk, Irish Coffee and Pubs.
It was rainy but we made the best of it. Dublinās Cuisine leaves a lot to be desired. I had my mouth ready for a bomb corned beef sandwich(next level AP Deli Corned Beef with mustard and a pickle)š¤£. I quickly learned that Corned Beef is popular amongst Americans and not in Ireland. We did a food tour with a former Michelin Star Restaurant Owner who traveled the world preparing foods, he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Food. The food tour was fun and I got some of the best scones and Ice Cream (fresh with only like 4 ingredients) but only one hot meal which was 3 different types of stews. The stews were tasty but yeah donāt expect great food (per the localsš¤·š½āāļø). Granted I didnāt hit up any fancy restaurants but usually the food tour sets the tone.
Anyhoo I visited a donut place that had been in business since 1979 and it was š„. I must say Devittās of Camden Street Pub made up for my lack of corned beefš. I had a delicious Steak Sandwich, some AMAZING shredded beef Tacos (im not a taco person but these were š„š„š„) and the best fries Iāve ever hadā¦mouth is watering just thinking about them. They were Fries, scallions, bacon, cheese with Curry Sauce. So unique, so so good but you only can eat that once a year if you want to be healthyš. I canāt forget my delicious Ginger Beer. In essence I guess I did get a real Ireland experience cause they are known for Pubs and Devitts gets 5 stars from me. ļæ¼
What Dublin does have is some great shopping. I even fell up on a TK Maxx (not to be confused with TJ Maxx) and grab a couple of goodies. I wish I had one more day to do a day trip on the outskirts to see some beautiful lush land and visit a farm.
Dublin is alright with me.
