Had the chance to see the Book of Leinster on display in the Long Room at Trinity College — one of the oldest sources of Irish mythology.

It contains stories I tell on my YouTube channel, like The Táin Bó Cuailnge (Cattle Raid of Cooley) and The Book of Invasions — epic tales of heroes like Cú Chulainn and Ireland’s mythical past.

Incredible to stand in front of the very pages where these stories were first written down.

Had a fantastic time today with Eva and Mike Tomasco from New Jersey! We took this photo in the Upper Courtyard of Dublin Castle, right in front of the Bedford Tower — once the heart of British rule in Ireland.

Thanks again, Eva and Mike, for the great company and conversation. Wishing you a great holiday around Ireland!

On a walking tour of Dublin with the Bonacum family from New York. Here we are, standing proudly in front of their distant ancestor, Brian Boru (on the left — they're O'Brien on one side of the family) — the once High King of Ireland who defeated the Vikings of Dublin and Leinster at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014.
On the right is the head of St. Patrick... no relation!

Took a break from the rain today to explore the Book of Kells and the majestic (but bookless!) Old Library in Trinity College with Kathy and Sophie from Canada.
It was a real pleasure guiding you both—hope you enjoy the rest of your Irish adventure!

This photo was taken with Kris and Dan from Minnesota at a very special Dublin landmark – the entrance to the site of the very first performance of Handel’s Messiah, back on April 13th, 1742 on Fishamble Street.

Handel was invited to Dublin by the Lord Lieutenant of the time, and that first concert raised the equivalent of €115,000 for charities across the city.

They were curious, full of great questions, and up for the adventue! Great chats on a number of topics too.
