Fuengirola is a popular resort town on the Costa Del Sol coast of Southern Spain, famous for its stunning weather and spectacular attractions such as:

๐Ÿ“Œ Bioparc:
An expansive open zoo, home to 300 species in a lush rainforest in the heart of Fuengirola. Visit on a summer's evening, when the park stays open till 11pm for amazing nocturnal shows.

๐Ÿ“Œ Los Boliches Beach:
There are plenty of great beaches here but Los Boliches on the northern end of town is our favourite. Stroll the promenade or check out Los Boliches Market on a Tuesday afternoon.

๐Ÿ“Œ The Marina:
The unusual Moorish-inspired Puerto Deportivio Fuengirola doubles as one of the town's main nightlife hubs. Check out the restaurants and bars in this buzzy part of town.

๐Ÿ“Œ The Old Town:
The pretty streets around Plaza de la Constitucion are begging to be wandered. Check out the church of Nuestra Senora del Rosario or grab some tapas in a local cafe.

๐Ÿ“Œ Mijas Pueblo:
15 minutes from Fuengirola by taxi but this is the number one thing to see here. This old town is a maze of whitewashed houses and narrow cobbled streets. The Ermita de la Virgen de la Pena shrine and the Plaza de Toros de Mijas bullring (โ‚ฌ3 entry) are highlights.

Our 7 favourite Dublin Pubs:

7๏ธโƒฃ The Barge:

A Dublin institution, although a slight jaunt from the city centre. Taken over by the McCafferty chain in 2023 but still a beautiful boozer.

6๏ธโƒฃ The Bleeding Horse:

Unmissable on Camden Street since 1871. Classic old-style interior and a simple but delicious food menu. Quiet during the week but picks up for the live music at the weekends.

5๏ธโƒฃ The Celt:

The only northside pub on our list boasts a cozy interior and traditional music 7 nights per week. Check it out if near Talbot Street.

4๏ธโƒฃ The Brazen Head:

The oldest pub in Dublin has stood in its current state since 1754. Full of cool nooks and graced by great musicians 7 nights a week.

3๏ธโƒฃ O'Neills:

Watching over Molly Malone's statue on Suffolk Street, it's close enough to Temple Bar to attract great crowds but far enough away to avoid the prices! Plenty of room across multiple floors.

2๏ธโƒฃ Mary's Bar and Hardware:

With a hardware shop in the front and a burger joint downstairs, this Wicklow Street haunt has everything! Deceivingly big inside.

1๏ธโƒฃ Kehoe's:

Our favourite pub sits on South Anne Street, just off Grafton Street. It may seem full on first glance but head upstairs to find yourself a hiding spot to unwind with one of Dublin's best pints of stout.

Must see attractions in Budapest:

๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿผ Szechenyi Baths:
15 indoor and 3 outdoor pools make up the most famous of Budapest's thermal baths. Such a relaxing experience!

๐Ÿšž Castle Hill Funicular:
When visiting the Buda side of the city cross the Szechenyi Chain Bridge and hop on the vintage funicular for magnificent city views.

๐Ÿฏ Fisherman's Bastion:
Best visited just before sunset for splendid views of the city. Be prepared to encounter droves of tourists however!

๐Ÿ’Toth Arpad Setany:
Should you find yourself in the Buda side of the city in the Spring then check out this quaint, cherry blossom-lined promenade. Magical!

๐Ÿš‹ Tram 2:
Use your travel pass to hop aboard Budapest's most scenic tram line. This short ride along the Danube treats you to brilliant views.

๐Ÿฐ Vajdahunyad Castle:
An often overlooked gem near the Szechenyi Thermal Baths. Houses the Museum of Agriculture but a mere stroll through the courtyard is well worth it.

โ›ด๏ธ Danube Cruise at Night
Budapest is famously picturesque at night so book a cruise with . Book a drinks-only package to enjoy unlimited prosecco while admiring the Parliament, Buda Castle and Liberty Bridge at their prettiest.

๐Ÿบ Jack O'Rourkes - A proper traditional boozer that's over 100 year's old. Subdued atmosphere is perfect for a quiet pint

๐Ÿบ Kelly & Cooper's - A gastropub with lovely grub and a great selection of beers, gins and whiskeys.

๐Ÿบ The Blackrock - Owned by former Irish rugby stars Rob Kearney, Dave Kearney, Jamie Heaslip & Sean O'Brien. Really elegant old-style interior.

โ˜• The Parlour - Family run spot with delicious toasties and baked goodies.

โ˜• Guy's - Really cozy spot in Blackrock Market. Tasty brews and toasties and is very dog-friendly.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Blackrock Market - Number one thing to do here. Over 30 quirky stalls, a fortune teller and toilet facilities. Only opens at the weekends.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ The Village Centre - Nice little shopping centre in the middle of towm with plenty of independent shops. Check out the mystery book vending machine!

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Blackrock Park - 14 hectare park that extends to Booterstown. A pretty little bandstand, pond and playground. Nice place for birdwatching too with little egrets frequenting it.

With Winter drawing to a close, now is the perfect time to book those summer holidays! These are the best sun destinations we've visited in Europe:

๐Ÿ“Œ Salou:

Our favourite beach holiday destination lies on the Costa Dorada, just 100km from Barcelona, meaning you can combine it with a stunning city break. Explore the Carrer de Carles Buigas strip, wander the Coastal Path or get the adrenaline pumping at PortAventura! ๐ŸŽข

๐Ÿ“Œ Albufeira:

The bars of Albufeira's New Town were a little manic for our liking so we spent our trip around the cobbled streets of the Old Town. We spent our time in the Algarve sampling the bars, kicking back on Fisherman's Beach or watching the wildlife performances at Zoomarine. ๐Ÿฌ

๐Ÿ“Œ Fuengirola:

Close enough to Malaga (30km) for a day spent in the city, the Costa Del Sol resort of Fuengirola is much more chilled out than the above destinations. Sample the cuisine along Fish Alley, spend hours on the beach at Los Boliches and be sure to visit the old town of Mijas Pueblo in the mountains nearby. ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

๐Ÿ“Œ Benalmadena:

For those who want to see the Costa Del Sol but find Fuengirola too quiet. Relax on one of the many beaches, wander the streets of Benalmadena Pueblo old town and be sure to hit the bars and restaurants of its star attraction - the world famous Marina. ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ

๐Ÿ“Œ Cambrils:

Admittedly our least favourite of these destinations, Cambrils is best suited to those that want nothing more than to laze about a Costa Dorada beach all day. It's old town and marina areas are charming however and Salou is just 7km away so you can experience it's nightlife too. โ›ฑ๏ธ

The Hungarian Parliament Building towers majestically over the Danube River in Budapest, Hungary. Completed in 1902, it is the largest building in all of Hungary. The interior can be visited via a guided tour but the exterior is the true highlight.

The seaside resort town of Dun Laoghaire is known for the scenic piers that surround its large working harbour.

Many visit to stroll these piers but other things to see here include the Peopleโ€™s Park Farmerโ€™s Market on a Sunday and the biennial Dun Laoghaire Regatta. The natural pool at Forty Foot, in nearby Sandycove, is also worth checking out.

Albufeira is the largest resort town on the Algarve Coast of Southern Portugal, famous for clear waters and spectacular attractions such as:

๐Ÿ“Œ Praia Dos Pescadores:
Albufeira's awesome cliff-lined beach sits in front of the Old Town area and is handily accessible via an elevator, a cliff tunnel and an escalator. ๐Ÿ–

๐Ÿ“Œ Benagil Cave:
A famous sea grotto that can only be reached via boat. Coming ashore is forbidden in order to protect Benagil from erosion so combine the trip with dolphin-spotting to really get your money's worth. ๐Ÿชธ

๐Ÿ“Œ Zoomarine:
This oceanographic park is a short drive from Albufeira and features amusements, water slides and fantastic live animal shows. Explore the aquarium with your โ‚ฌ32 admission ticket or pay โ‚ฌ145 to get up close and personal with dolphins! ๐Ÿฌ
