Lambay Island, nestled just 3 miles off the coast of North Dublin, is a hidden sanctuary of nature, history and creativity. 🏝️

The island which dates back to the 8th century, boasts diverse wildlife - like wallabies (yes - really), deer, and Ireland’s largest mixed seabird colony, which includes the puffin.

The island will also soon be home to the world’s smallest off-grid and offshore whiskey distillery, with the first island whiskey distillation taking place before Christmas 2024. Sláinte 🥃

Wow 😍. The lost cottage has to be the ultimate remote off-grid escape. Nestled in the mountainside overlooking Caragh Lake in County Kerry, the lost cottage was built in the 19th century as a farmer’s bolthole but is now the perfect rural hideaway. 😌 🧘

Known to surfers as the ‘cold paradise,’ there is a stark contrast between the culture in Ireland and the typical surf aesthetic of hotter climates.
