RTÉ Radio 1 is to partner with maritime organisation Irish Lights for a unique series of live broadcasts celebrating RTÉ 100 and the enduring power of late night radio.

Great to see that the MV Gamle Oksøy has arrived in Germany & has visited so many ports already. The vessel has been travelling since the 27th May and is visiting 17 of the European Route of Lighthouses member countries as it travels around this summer.
At each port call, there will be public access for vessel visits, exhibitions on board, lectures, and onshore activities at every stop along the route. There is an opportunity for the local ERoL members to showcase their lighthouse heritage and tourism offerings onboard during port visits. In addition, the visiting delegation from Norwegian Coastal Administration Museum department along with any invited guests may visit local lighthouses located near the port calls.

While we were at the Lighthouse on Saturday the local youth where taking part in Cruinniu na nOg at the Áras Éanna Ionad Ealaíne Inis Oírr & created this stunning piece in a few short hours that includes the Lighthouse.
