This will be the first-ever regular season NFL game in Ireland, with the Steelers designated as the home team.

"The opportunity for the Pittsburgh Steelers to play in Ireland is truly special, not only because of the Rooney family history there but because it allows us to connect with Irish fans while also giving fans who travel from Pittsburgh and beyond a unique football experience," said Steelers President Art Rooney, II. Ireland is the homeland for the Rooney family, so for the Steelers, this is more than just playing an international game.

"The fact that we can now bring the Pittsburgh Steelers there for a regular-season game at the historic Croke Park — truthfully, a dream come true."
