Ready to build the skills employers are looking for in the legal sector? 👀

Set for Success is a six-week, employer-led skills programme designed to help you develop your professional skills while gaining insights directly from leading legal employers.

Across six interactive workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to meet employers and explore topics including:

💬 Legal communication & negotiation
🌍 Commercial awareness
🤝 Networking & teamwork
🎯 Leadership & influence
👂 Empathy & listening
🤖 AI, ethics & risks

📅 Starting 23 September
📍 Six sessions running throughout September, October & November

And there’s an added bonus! Students who attend at least 4 of the 6 sessions and complete the required reflections can qualify for the Set for Success Certificate 🏆

Meet Louis 👋

Louis is studying Law (BCL) at UCD and is currently undertaking an internship with William Fry.

Louis first discovered the firm through the WFirst Programme, an insight day for first and second-year university students. After enjoying the experience, he applied for the firm's internship programme, successfully progressing through the application process, which included a CV, cover letter, application form, and interview with two partners.

Meet Anna 👋

Anna is studying Computer Science with Data Science & AI at UCD and is currently undertaking a Software Development Engineer internship with Workday.

Anna first discovered Workday through its Future Female in Tech programme, where she gained valuable insight into the company through workshops, work shadowing, and networking with students who shared her passion for technology. Inspired by the experience, she later applied for a Workday internship after spotting the opportunity shared by a recruiter on LinkedIn.

Meet Matthew 👋

Matthew O'Connor is studying BSc Computer Science at UCD and is currently undertaking an internship with Accenture.

Matthew discovered the opportunity through the MyCareer platform, where he found the Academic Internships vacancy. After refining his CV, tailoring his cover letter, and progressing through a screening call and interview, he secured his internship offer.

Meet Laura 👋

Laura studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) at UCD and is currently undertaking an internship with RTÉ.

From over 3,000 applications, Laura progressed through a creative application process that included pitching ideas, creating a one-minute video, and taking part in an assessment day with group challenges.

Despite having no previous media, editing or voice-over experience, Laura stepped outside her comfort zone and gave it her all—proving that you don't always need experience to take on exciting opportunities.
