Day two of our Scotland weekend, and with some tired legs and an inauspicious weather forecast, we opted for a lower level hike today.

Following the glen of the river Leven, in the Mamores, we headed up to the Blackwater reservoir and got some superb mountain scenery of rapids, waterfalls and ancient woodlands.

Combined with some local history and a visit to a small graveyard near the dam, all in all it made for another fantastic day in the Scottish mountains.

My thanks to all the team for a great couple of days and a big shout out for Darran from for his invaluable help and for providing the transport.

Heading home tomorrow with some lovely memories (and a few midge bites).

We are over in Scotland this weekend to climb BEN NEVIS with a lovely group of clients.

Plenty of snow around the summit today, and pretty chilly in the brisk wind.
The snow bunting was an added bonus.

Everyone made it up and down in good time, and are relaxing this evening after hot, soothing showers.
Nice one team..

Out and about in the Dublin hills today with Tom.
Couldn't resist the sunshine and the chance to hike to Cloghnagon (Fitzwilliams Seat) over dry peat instead of the usual slushy bog.

Great to feel the warm sunshine after what seems like months of gloomy, dank days.

A brilliant two days of MOUNTAIN SKILLS 1 training in Wicklow with a lovely group..😀

Really the best weather of the year, with wall to wall sunshine and warm dry conditions .
Absolutely delighted to see the summer weather arrive at last..🌞

Some top navigation skills learned and put into practice over the weekend.
Great effort by the team, who are now much more confident in their mountain navigation and eager to get out themselves and try out their new skillset.
Nice one guys..👏👏

A pleasant walk around the breezy Wicklow hills today with these two lovely ladies from the Netherlands.

Wicklow Way, Brockaghs and St. Kevins Way.

A lovely day in Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains with the Conlin family from Canada.

Enjoying some super views before the rain came in during the afternoon, and checking in on the Liffey Head bog on the way back to Dublin.

Not the best of days for our LUGNAQUILLA guided hike today.

Hill fog and showers made for challenging conditions, but it did clear later to give some lovely views on the descent.
Pretty much a typical Irish mountain day, I guess .

A big shout out to everyone who ventured out today, and big thanks to Darran from for the expert guiding.

Hailstones, horses and Hatterall Hill.

Our final day in the BRECON BEACONS and we headed east to the Black Mountains to enjoy a very scenic hike along Offas D**e Path.

Peppered by the occasional hail shower, we still had magnificent views with dramatic skies.
A superb end to an amazing four days of hiking.

Big thanks to everyone in the group and especially to Darran from for his invaluable help looking after the guys, and for providing the transport during the week.
