Friendship on the Di**le Way

Most businesses talk about flexibility, great customer service and going the extra mile for their clients.

But would their employees go the extra 40 miles and hop on trains and buses to get their clients out of a jam?

And would they lend them their own hiking boots to avoid the the client having to pull out of a tour they had looked forward to for ages?

And do all this on their own initiative to make sure their client is happy?

Elise, one of our French clients, was hiking solo along the Wicklow Way when she discovered that her hiking boots had reached the end of the line and she was stuck in the middle of the Wicklow Mountains contemplating having to cut short her tour.

Quick-thinking Patricia Valenzuela found out they both had the same boot sizes, so she took her own boots and got on the train & bus out to the Wicklow Way, so that the her French client could continue her hiking tour.

And the smiles this morning as they met in Dublin city centre to exchange the boots again tells it all.

Now that is great customer service.

Very interesting talk today about the past, present and future plans for the National Famine Way and the worldwide Global Irish Famine Way initiative.

We already offer self guided walking tours on this historical route along the Royal Canal and are looking forward to adding more tours in the next couple of years.
