At the fairy circle in Kenmare. Thousands of years ago people came here in pre-Christian times to hold religious ceremonies or perhaps burials. Many of the 15 large stones are orientated to solar or lunar events. The large central dolmen in the center measures approx 2 m x 1.8 m and has had some holes bored into it. It most likely predates the stone circle as these dolmens are usually between 3000 and 4000 years old and were primarily burial sites.
Vor Christus wurden religoese Zeremonien oder Bestattungen hier abgehalten. Viele der 15 groessen Steine sind Richtung Mond oder Sonne gerichtet. Die Dolmen in der Mitte ist etwa 2m x 1.8 m, hat Bohrlöcher und ist sicherlich aelter als der Steinkreis. Dolmens sind typischerweise 3000 bis 4000 Jahre alt und waren an erster Stelle Grabstätten.
