like Nandos and Starbucks setting up not one retail outlet but two on Marine road. World famous pork butchers Hicks family business is back open for business on the high street. The shops are slowly but surely filling up again and you'd be forgiven for thinking its 2005 on the main street some days as the town comes back to life. Dun Laoghaire is evolving. It’s a time of opportunity and renewal and the local social scene is also changing. The Pier Inn or Weirs as its commonly known is also going through a regeneration. This beautiful two story Pub with amazing beer gardens and functions rooms cost an estimated 3million to put together originally and has been a fixture in the Town for many years. The traditional gastro pub famed for its gourmet Carvery food is about to get a serious make over. Introducing you to WHISKEY FAIR and WHISKEY MOON. A New Gastro Pub and Venue concept for the Southside of Dublin. Think amazing bespoke Cocktails, Craft Beers, with a retro cool feel to the whole venue. Designed by award winning designers O'Donnell O Neill whose office is in Dun Laoghaire this bar is set to redefine the town’s social appeal. WHISKEY FAIR is the main bar area it’s a modern twist on the Gastro pub. A brand new WHISKEY Bar is being installed at the venue with world a huge selection of WORLD WHISKEYS presented in a totally new and exciting way for the area. Expect Smoked Whiskeys and rare one off brands as-well as tasting sessions and chance to visit the Whiskey Distilleries. A laid-back but high service aspect is being brought to the bar and live music will feature at weekends as well as some retro Djs. You can eat drink and be merry from early in the day until late at night. The food at The Gastro Bar will be upgraded with the addition of the hot stone restaurant area; a popular trend in Gastro Bars worldwide is the table cooking phenomenon. Customers order their favourite meats, chicken or Fish dish and cook the dish at their own table to their exact requirements. We have sourced our own Irish beef farmer and will be specialising in steak and beef products for the hot stone restaurant. Award winning Chef Ken Barb will be adding a new style and flavour to Dun Laoghaire. A must try for anyone who likes quality Irish meats. WHISKEY MOON
A brand new live music Venue for South Dublin. A 350 capacity live music area with digital line array sound and 150Sq foot stage area with our own in house sound technician. Attracting bands from home and abroad. A chance to see one off acts that are touring and some of your local favourites. The emphasis on quality music will be paramount at Whiskey Fair. Every detail has been thought through we are hoping to complete the venue in Mid-June.
