Did you know that the Colosseum in Rome had a secret elevator system? 🏛️ Back in ancient times, there were special elevators hidden under the arena floor that could lift wild animals, gladiators, and even entire sets right into the middle of the action! Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is probably the most famous landmark of Valencia and one of the most important works of modern architecture in Europe! The complex was designed by the Spanish star architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela and inaugurated in 1998. Quite stunning, isn’t it?
