One of the highlights of our recent Verona trip was bringing our guests together for lunch with Marty Whelan and the RTÉ lyric fm team before another unforgettable evening at the Arena.

Great food, wonderful company and plenty of conversation about music, opera and Verona shared around the table.

Visit the Arena during the day.

The incredible opera sets are often displayed outside before the evening performance.

It's a fantastic chance to admire the scale and craftsmanship up close—even if you're not attending a performance that night.

Top Tip: Stay for an Aperitivo After the Opera ♥️
Here’s a local tip...
After the performance, don’t rush back to your hotel.
Grab an aperitivo in Piazza Bra and wait.
As the performers leave the Arena, locals and visitors applaud them as they walk past.
It’s a wonderful tradition that captures the magic of
Verona.
