🏌⛳🌊💛💙 Clare County Council extends a Céad Míle Fáilte to the tens of thousands of spectators who will attend this weekend's Walker Cup in Lahinch and the upcoming Amgen Irish Open in Doonbeg.

More than 90,000 spectators are expected to enjoy the two prestigious golf events.

The sold-out Walker Cup is set to be watched by 16,000 spectators this Saturday and Sunday, with the action also viewed by a significant global TV audience.

Clare County Council is again to the fore in supporting event logistics and promoting the county as a premier destination for sport and tourism

⛳🏌️‍♂️💛💙 Preparations are continuing in Lahinch ahead of this weekend's Walker Cup with staff putting the finishing touches to Clare County Council's marquee at Lahinch Golf Club

The Walker Cup, which will see the top amateur golfers from Great Britain and Ireland team do battle against the USA, takes place this Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6

🏌⛳💛💙 Excitement is building in Co Clare ahead of the 51st Walker Cup match between Great Britain & Ireland and the USA which takes place at Lahinch Golf Club this Saturday and Sunday, September 5 & 6.

16,000 fans are set to attend the sold-out event, while extensive TV coverage across Ireland, the UK & and USA will showcase the region’s spectacular coastal landscape and world-class hospitality to a global audience.

Next weekend's Walker Cup and upcoming Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg from September 10-13 are expected to generate substantial visitor numbers, increased media coverage and a lasting legacy for tourism, sport, and community development in Clare

Clare County Council is again playing an important role in coordinating local infrastructure, supporting event logistics, and promoting the county as a premier destination for sport and tourism.

🏌️⛳ Golf in Full Swing in County Clare 💛💙

The eyes of the sporting world will be on Clare this September as the county hosts two of golf’s most prestigious events.

Many of the world’s leading professional golfers will compete in a star-studded Amgen Irish Open which will be staged at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg from September 10-13, while Lahinch Golf Club will play host to one of the biggest team events in amateur golf the previous weekend as Great Britain & Ireland take on the United States of America in the 51st Walker Cup on September 5 and 6.
