I've such a fun month of happy roaming planned this September ! From Friday Night Hikes, big long days, and skills courses, it's gonna be class !

Clock out, head west, and make it a 3 day weekend with an easy going social hike !

Friday Night Hikes are all about meeting sound people, stretching the legs, and chatting all evening.

The Maamturks' Letterbreckaun loop is an amazing day, summit the queen of the Inagh valley. It's medium difficulty, medium pace, and about 6 hours of chats and views.

The Glencoaghan Horseshoe is the best, but also the most challenging route in the country. It's a fast pace 10 hour day, traversing 6 peaks. Mega views, serious scrambling, and super varied terrain make it just epic.

Garraun is a real hidden gem of Connemara. This is a medium difficulty, slower paced hike with super rewarding views.

Looking for confidence to roam solo? This is the perfect first-step.

Spend 2 days learning all the skills you need on 2 fantastic hikes in Connemara.

It's relaxed, social, fun, and the best way to find your hiking feet.

Happy faces all around on my last Friday Night Hike up Lackavrea !

It was just lovely working with Galway Sports Partnership and meeting so many new people who are getting outdoors. There was brand new hikers, experienced old *soles*, and everything in-between.

There was chats left right and centre, with many new friends made. The Roam In A Day community is stronger than ever !

Ger Climb Connemara. Hiking, Rock Climbing, Galway, Burren, Mweelrea joined us too. Hard to beat a day out working with friends and guiding friends at the same time !

There's a lot of new faces around here recently, so I said I would reintroduce myself!

I'm Cillian, a hiker, climber, and musician who just loves being outside.

I started Roam In A Day a few years ago with the hope of spending my life outdoors, and it's going pretty well so far :))

I love showing people around Connemara and getting out in the hills. These days, that means everything from chill social hikes and sunset adventures to mountain skills courses and big days out.

I want you to leave a Roam In A Day adventure having made some new friends, explored some cool places, and feeling more confident for your next day out!

What a mega route - 13km with 900m of elevation. It's a tough day out, 6 - 7 hours on the hill, but worth every second ! Starting on the floor of Doolough valley, climbing through a massive glaciated bowl, and opening out onto the huge rolling top of Mweelrea, the highest point in Connaught.
