What an amazing experience group had yesterday
Such an incredible Whiskey Tasting and Food Pairing Experience put together by the wonderful 🥃 in Distillery

An amazing experience for any food enthusiast. Santina paired a range of high quality locally sourced food products from all around Wicklow with some of Fercullens Excellent Whiskey Collection. The group absolutely loved it and was a lovely way to end Chef Bob Cooks Food Tour.

It was a huge challenge for me to finally get the Food Tour up and running after a number of set backs. However the positive feedback and encouragement received from passengers that have experienced the Tour makes it all worthwhile. 🙏💚💚

The freshest Ice Cream 🐄🍦🍦

These lovely ladies 🐄🐄 on their way to be milked. Only the freshest milk from cows that graze the green pastures surrounding Cafe Linalla is used in Linalla Ice Cream.

Fantastic Weather yesterday for Annual Burren Food Fayer and The Burren Winterage Catle Drive.

This fantastic event is held in The Burren in October Bank Holiday each year, where you can join a community walk where a local farming family walk their cattle to Winter pastures 🐄🐄

At the Burren Food Fayer there are some wonderful displays and talks from some of the amazing local Food Supplier's

The very passionate Cheese Maker Dave talking to one of our groups on the cheese tasting part of our Food Tour.

Dave always takes great care of our groups and is very informative on the whole method of producing Burren Gold Cheese.

As part of the A Taste of The Burren Food Tour, we get to take a tour of a Micro Brewery. We also hear from the legendary Peter Curtain all about his passion for making his own brand of 'Burren Beer'

And the most important part, we sample the different beers in the lovely traditional Irish Pub next door The Roadside Tavern!

Fresh Irish Oysters 🦪 🦪🦪
As part of our Taste of The Burren Food Tour, we visit Flaggy Shore Oysters down at the picturesque shore at New Quay in Co Clare.

This particular type of small more approachable Oyster is known as "Dainties" and are full of flavour!

Always a lot of fun learning about Oysters and how the are grown and harvested in the local area.

A food tour through the Burren - organised by Food Tours Ireland - is just the ticket for foodies and those curious about how anything can be produced in an area that looks bare in places. Don't just a book by its cover! The Burren is amazing on all levels, and with the food tour you can find out what delicacies are produced here.

Starting from Galway tomorrow morning at 9am, you will get to taste oysters, smoked salmon, chocolate, cheeses and craft beers from The Roadside Tavern. Not to forget ice cream made from milk coming from their own cows.
