Behold the lovely Connemara Pony. A good-natured, athletic, and hardy breed native to Ireland. 🐎

They are thought to have Spanish and Scandinavian bloodlines. Some believe they originated when ships from the Spanish Armada were wrecked off the Irish coast in 1588, and their Andalusian horses bred with local ponies.

You will see these gentle creatures throughout Connemara.

Our new island hopping tour takes in the lesser travelled islands off the west coast of Ireland. You’ll get to explore the stunning locations of Inishturk, Clare Island and Achill Island, as well as the charming town of Westport. If you’d like to get off the tourist trail to explore Ireland’s culture, history and breathtaking coasts then this tour is for you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! ☘️ Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit!

St. Patrick is one of the patron saints of Ireland. Originally from either Scotland or Wales, he was captured into slavery as a child and sent to Slemish mountain to tend sheep. It is believed he eventually escaped and made it home but had a vision that urged him to return to Ireland to spread the message of Christianity, using the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity. It's also said that he drove the snakes out of Ireland. 🐍

It's National Tree Week, as well as B Corp month, and our we rolled up our sleeves and got planting🌳

During the last few years, our team has planted over 5000 native trees as part of our ongoing commitment to regenerate Connemara.

Organised by the Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte, National Tree Week promotes tree planting, sustainability, and environmental education through community events, woodland walks, and free native sapling distribution. The theme for 2026 is "Growing a Greener Future Together".

Every sapling is a step toward a greener future.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Ireland is one of only two countries in the world named after a woman - a goddess in fact. Ériu is the matron goddess of Ireland and a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the divine tribe who ruled Ireland in Irish mythology.

Ériu and her sisters, Banba and Fódla, were powerful goddesses of sovereignty who personified the land itself. She is buried at the Hill of Uisneach, the mythological centre of Ireland and ancient ceremonial site that is home to a famous fire festival each year.
