Pictured is a depiction of St. Brendan the Navigator's legendary journey to the shores of America. 🌊 St. Brendan is best known for this legendary voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, as recounted in the medieval text 'Navigatio Sancti Brendani Abbatis' (The Voyage of St. Brendan the Abbot). 📜

While many of the tales surrounding St. Brendan’s voyage are steeped in myth, they may contain elements of truth. Some historians and explorers have suggested that his journey could have been based on real early transatlantic voyages, possibly even reaching North America centuries before the Vikings. 😮

It's all fun & games on the 🥾 Kerry Way with Arie & Diana. From boat trips on the lakes of Killarney to a dip in a rocky river & the best use of sheep's wool tufts I've yet seen they show us just how to make the most of an Irish summer. 💯

In June Hillwalk Tours donated €1000 via our Stepping Stones program to the Galway SPCA (Galway Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals ) who rehabilitate & re-home animals to forever homes. Thanks to our hikers who make this possible!
