Waterside Guesthouse Waterside Guesthouse & Restaurant Waterside is a carefully converted 19th century granite cornstore.

We operate 10 ensuite bedrooms overlooking the river Barrow in the heart of Graiguenamanagh. The building has a preservation order and that seems sensible when you see the lovely granite stone in the corridors and feature wooden beams in each bedroom. On the ground floor we have a comfy restaurant with seating for 45 guests.

No, we were not hosting the 2026 Cement Mixers Society of Ireland conference at Waterside, we were in fact having to put a new floor in our restaurant after the recent floods. And that is why full opening for 2026 season has been delayed. Work is ongoing and hope to announce opening date very soon. Look forward to seeing you all. Brian & Brigid

WE ARE HIRING. Waterside will open again on 1st March and due to being so busy the last couple of years we are now expanding the team. We are looking for extra cooking staff, housekeeping and also a restaurant supervisor. Check out NationalTransport.ie and make a submission on their consultation re expanding the Graiguenamanagh-Kilkenny Bus service from twice a day to four times a day. This would be a huge improvement in connectivity for Graiguenamanagh, including a Sunday service, and would be of benefit to locals and visitors alike. Hopefully lots of people click on the site and support this plan.
