Graiguenamanagh, Ireland's Town of Books Festival 2015
September 11th-13th. Friday 12-6. Sat/Sun 10am -6pm.

There will be 30+ sellers of antiquarian, second hand, new and children’s books.
Sheppards Antiques Roadshow. Busking Competition. Heritage Walk. Authors talks.

Antiques Roadshow. Sunday 13th, 2-4pm, The Boat House on the quay.
Evaluations by Sheppards Auction House, Co. Laois. All antiques are welcome.
entry. 1 item e5 , 3 for e10.
Books can be valued by booksellers free of charge.

Busking Competition. 1st Prize e300, 2nd e200, 3rd e100.
Judging will be anonymous on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. All acts welcome.

Graiguenamanagh Historical Society offer a guided walk of the medieval river town. Sunday 2pm, starting outside Duiske Abbey.

Ireland's First Ever Floating Festival

This year Carlow Arts Festival is trying something new and we want you to join in! On May 31st 5 barges will start their journey from Carlow to Borris. Carrying chefs, writers, musicians, photographers, artists, comedians...over 5 days the barges will float down the River Barrow stopping in each town along it's way (Carlow, Leighlinbridge, Bagenalstown, Goresbridge, Tinnahinch, Borris) and set up a miniature festival on the riverside.
