Emerald outdoors is owned and run by two friends, Colin and Jamie, who met whilst working as kayak guides on the river Nile in Uganda. Both have worked as white water kayak coaches around the world and they have over 22 ye

ars coaching and guiding experience between them. Colin is back from an epic expedition, in which he provided rescue cover whilst also becoming one of the first people to kayak more than 2000km of the Arabian gulf, from Kuwait to Oman.

Seeing the herd of goats on the Greenane islands is always a highlight on a kayak tour 🤩

Did you know?

Seaweed is full of chlorophyll (and lots of other great stuff like nutrients to keep you looking young)!

When brown seaweed (in this case eggwrack) is put into hot water, the brown pigment (fucoxanthin) is broken down, leaving behind the bright green chlorophyll. Just like magic 🤩
