Knight for Hire Hi I'm Dylan, The Knight For Hire, I do walking tours around Kilkenny in my armour. Tours are:
€10 for a child
€15 for an adult

The main goal of my tours is to have some fun and maybe teach people a little history on the way. I do tours from canal square, just past the hurling statue all year round, just give me a call or message me to book.

Big thank you to everyone who came to to see the knights of medieval armour combat and myself fighting this weekend. A massive thank you to all the fighters, marshals and support who came from .ac you helped make this our biggest and best year at Timahoe yet and I look forward to seeing you all there again next year.
Also to the organisers of without whom none of this would have been possible, thank you.

The countdown is on! ⚔️🔥

Our full schedule for Timahoe Heritage Festival 2026 is now available, featuring Viking battles, Kids vs Vikings, living history, heritage displays, craft demonstrations, music, workshops, the Art & Craft Fair, vintage events and much more.

A couple of exciting additions:
🎸 Vicarstown Ukulele Group will perform at the Heritage Centre Grounds on Saturday at 1:45pm.
🎤 Just Alice will perform at the same venue from 3:45pm on Sunday.
⚔️ Due to popular demand, the Full Contact Armoured Combat teams have added an extra combat session at 12 noon on both days, in addition to their 2pm and 4pm bouts.

There really is something happening around every corner this weekend in Timahoe!
