MASS ON THE ISLAND
The annual open air Mass on Innisfallen Island, a wonderful tradition that celebrates Killaney’s history, has been scheduled for Friday, June 19.
Traditional boats will depart from Ross Castle from 4.00pm onwards and the Mass will be celebrated on the island (pictured) at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, dates have also been finalised for the annual cemetery Masses in and around Killarney:
* St John’s Cemetery: Monday, June 1 (3.00pm)
* Killarney Burial Ground: Monday, June 29 (7.00pm)
* Muckross Abbey: Monday, July 5 (7.30pm)
* New Cemetery: Monday, August 3 (7.00pm)
A date and time has yet to be finalised for the Mass in Aghadoe Cemetery.
The Corpus Christi procession will take place on Thursday, June 4 after the 6.15pm Mass in St Mary’s Cathedral.
