Another incredible evening aboard the Connemara Lady.

Last night, we had the privilege of welcoming a very special guest, Sean Keane, back on board. With a sell-out crowd, Sean treated us to a beautiful mix of his most loved songs, plus stories and craic that only he can deliver.

A huge thanks also to our very own crew member Deccy for supporting Sean and adding to the magic.

There’s something truly special about being out on the water, sailing into the night, with live music filling the air. Intimate, unforgettable, and pure Killary magic.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. Another night to remember.

We had a pod of dolphins join us this morning with one mission in mind, to beat the Connemara Lady to the end of the fjord!

These incredible dolphins weren’t just racing, they were putting on a show, leaping and playing right in our bow waves, twisting and surfing along the pressure wave like they’ve done it a thousand times. Magic like that never gets old.

Why do they do it? It’s not just for fun (though it sure looks like it!). Dolphins ride bow waves because the moving pressure wave in front of the boat lets them glide forward with almost zero effort, like nature's version of a free tow. It saves energy while they keep up with the boat, scan for prey, and yes, enjoy the ride. Some scientists even believe it's pure play and social bonding. Either way, they're the ultimate thrill-seekers of the sea.

Spring is shining on Killary Fjord, and we’re loving every minute of it!

The season is ramping up, and we’ve had a busy week welcoming smiling faces aboard the Connemara Lady.

Not all our visitors come dressed for sightseeing, though… This fine lady arrived in her work clothes at Nancy’s Point.

Don’t let the dowdy appearance fool you – she was doing sterling work for Irish Lights, cleaning and servicing the navigation buoys and lights along the Killary. Thanks to her, our seaborne friends have a safe passage up the main channel. A true hero of the fjord!

Every day is different out here, you never know what or who you’ll meet on the water.

🌞 Blue skies, sunshine, and dolphins – Killary Fjord is putting on a show! 🐬

We have been enjoying an incredible spell of weather here in the heart of Connemara, with temperatures in the 20s and not a cloud in sight. Yesterday, the Connemara Lady was joined by a pod of dolphins and all around, local wildlife is "waking up" in the spring sunshine.

Did you know that the Killary Fjord is home to a unique mix of marine life, including dolphins, grey seals, and even the elusive otter that can be seen fishing along the shoreline. The steep mountains have recently welcomed another majestic visitor: the white-tailed sea eagle, Ireland’s largest and most magnificent bird of prey.

Sailing three times daily:

Dodging the April showers? Worth it for THIS.

They say April showers bring May flowers… but honestly? We think they bring bright spring sunshine on Killary Fjord, if you’re brave (and quick) enough to dodge the raindrops!

One minute you’re reaching for your raincoat, the next you’re soaking up glorious sunshine surrounded by the magnificent scenery of Ireland’s only true fjord. That’s April for you, four seasons in one trip!

Not feeling the showers? No problem. Our cosy café bar has you covered; warm drinks, comfy seats, and panoramic views. You’ll be out of the elements but still right in the middle of the scenery.

Big news! We’re expanding our wildlife guarantee.

After one too many "I didn't see a dolphin" TripAdvisor reviews, skipper Gordy, our resident engineer and boat whisperer, got busy in the quiet winter months.

Armed with nothing but "leftovers" from the winter overhaul and a worrying amount of determination, he’s cobbled together "Flipper 2.0."

Battery-operated? Obviously.

Waterproof? Jury's still out, but Gordy's "pretty sure."

Running a strict schedule of 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM? You bet, he's got a laminated timetable and everything!

Miss him and we’ll refund you in muffins from the onboard café.

Flipper 2.0 starts running on 1st April for one day only...
