400% Increase for Bus parking, Free Parking For Cars. Where's MCD's Green Agenda?" 🚍🌱🚗

MCD is providing FREE parking for cars attending Slane concerts.

At the very same time, they have increased bus parking charges by approximately 400%.

Let that sink in.

A coach carrying 50+ people helps reduce traffic congestion, lowers emissions, and encourages environmentally friendly travel. Yet instead of rewarding sustainable transport, MCD is penalising it.

Under the new 2026 charging structure, bus operators are expected to pay 10% of every seat sold on every bus travelling to Slane concerts. These excessive charges will inevitably be passed on to passengers, making concert travel more expensive for everyone choosing the greener option.

So where exactly is MCD's green agenda?

🚗 Cars park for free.
🚌 Buses carrying dozens of passengers face a massive increase in charges.

This policy discourages people from leaving their cars at home and undermines efforts to promote sustainable transport.

Bus operators across Ireland stand together in calling on MCD to reverse this decision and introduce a fair and reasonable charging structure.

Support affordable concert travel.
Support sustainable transport.
Support bus operators.
