🌄 Bay Lough & Knockmealdowns Guided Walk with Elmarie O’Brien

Join Elmarie O’Brien for a guided walk through the stunning Knockmealdown Mountains, taking in the beautiful Bay Lough and surrounding landscape.

Starting at Kilballyboy Woods, this scenic loop climbs along the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain before descending towards Bay Lough, offering sweeping views along the way. The route continues through native woodland before returning to the starting point.

This moderate walk is suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness and is a great opportunity to experience this unique landscape with a knowledgeable local guide.

Another beautiful day at Lough Gur! Today is, of course, the Spring Equinox, called in Irish Cónocht an Earraigh.

We can only hope the weather is as good for these upcoming events!

Friday April 3rd: Lough Gur Biodiversity Camp. 10am to 1pm. Children ages 7-12. A chance to explore Lough Gur as the Spring unfolds and all the life in and around the lake reemerges! Tickets are €25 and can be got using the link below:

Sunday April 5th: Lough Gur Scavenger Hunt. All Day. Children of all ages. Our always popular scavenger hunt returns once more.
