It was an honour to be asked to judge the 2024 Federation of European Professional Photographers awards entries last year and I was delighted to receive this beautiful publication today in the post. A book containing the winning entries, glad to see Irish professional photographers well represented in the winners list. Looking forward to delving into this book over the coming days and weeks

When I first heard Greenshine play in Finns Bar during the year I was blown away by the performance. The beautiful singing and harmonies along with the excellent musicianship of Noel so when I heard that they were returning for another gig last night I was really excited to be able to see and hear them again. I was wondering if the initial excitement I felt when I heard them would be there as now thanks to their CD’s and their presence on Bandcamp I was more familiar with their music. I needn’t have worried. Limerick man John Hayes again as the opener on the night and his set of original compositions and a few well chosen covers got the packed venue in good form for what was to come. Mary was battling a bad cold but that didn’t stop her and along with Ellie and Noel kept the crowd entertained for a couple of magical hours . Thanks again Joe for such a magical venue for live music and it was great to see the place packed to capacity. If Greenshine ever come your way treat yourself to a wonderful night of live music you’ll soon be a convert to their unique sound.

The Bandroom Lane Sessions at Finns Folk Club really came to life last night. Peter Street played a storming set of traditional music and some very well chosen songs including Shane McGowans “The Broad Majestic Shannon “ if you can get a chance to see them play don’t pass it up you won’t be disappointed. Congratulations Joe another first class gig.
