FIRST LOOK:
McDonald’s has arrived in New Ross, completing a €3m investment that brings close to 100 jobs to the town. We got a first look at the newly finished development ahead of its opening next Wednesday (18th Feb). The purpose-built Portersland site features a 400 sqm drive-thru restaurant, 50 car parking spaces, bicycle parking, electric vehicle chargers and an outdoor seating area.
Business Manager Nadia Jean leads the new restaurant, having worked at the Wexford town location since it opened in 2009. A Global Ray Kroc Award winner (an honour reserved for the top 1% of Restaurant Managers worldwide) Nadia has been recognised for leading by example, delivering strong operational standards and driving high-performing teams. Speaking ahead of next week’s launch, she said: “We are really excited to open in New Ross and welcome our new customers. We’re committed to Irish suppliers, who play a central role in delivering the quality behind McDonald’s most iconic menu items.”
Operations Manager Manuel Jean added: “Opening in New Ross is about more than a new restaurant, it’s about becoming part of this community. We’re proud to create local jobs, support Irish suppliers, and provide a welcoming space for families, friends and neighbours to come together. We’re looking forward to building strong connections in the town from day one.”
Customers can order both in-restaurant and via the drive-thru. As with all McDonald’s locations across Ireland, the beef, bacon, milk, water and eggs served at the New Ross restaurant are 100% Irish.
The restaurant will trade from 6am to midnight, seven days a week.
