Next Saturday, 6th September, New Ross will host the Republic of Ireland’s Strongest Man 2025. Five tough events, the country’s top strongmen, and a title on the line all taking place in the Rugby club.... It’s free to watch, so drop by, bring the family, and take in the atmosphere.

A huge well done to Nicky and the crew...tremendous work behind the scenes to bring an event of this scale back to New Ross. 🙌

The Ash Tree Ballywilliam is back serving the public, just not in the way it used to. Alison Diskin has brought the old Ashtree pub back to life, transforming the long-closed venue into a full-time food and social spot that now opens seven days a week. She’s teamed up with head chef Tom Dunne, Helena and Christine in the kitchen to offer a modern gastro-style menu with Italian influences....pasta lasagna, and a full breakfast menu sourced locally, including meats from Tomas Kinsella at Butchers Best. Alison made it clear, this isn’t just a place to eat or drink she wants it to be a space for the community to gather again. With a bar team including Mark, Abby, Laura Lynn, Claire, Hannah and Brendan, the focus is on local faces, stories, and a place where people want to spend time.

The beer garden has been completely redone to hosts private events, parties, and regular live music, including a monthly trad night.

Well done guys, the very best of luck with the venture 🙌👏

One year ago Btwenty7 arrived in town. Their new style drive-thru format was always going to be a hit with passerbys and residents....but to see the queues at peak time say it all.

A brilliant success story that changed the coffee offering in town. ☕ 🙌

Abbey Par 3 on the Hook Peninsula....Frank has built something very special here - An 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse complete with refreshments, and access to all the necessary equipment, making it ideal for both novice and seasoned golfers. The venue also offers Mini golf (not just for kids), plus this always entertaining 'footee golf'. Good for groups, families, whoever. Frank spotted an opportunity to maximise the available space, and he has managed to attract visitors from all corners, thanks to his tireless efforts. The summer Hook Peninsula views always make you remember why you love visiting the area and Frank's clearly put plenty of thought into making the most of the space.....

A great local experience, well done Frank and team. 🙌
