I'm working on this big chest/hamper for a commission, I've just got hinges and toggles to do now, and a handle each end (maybe if my customer wants that) it's for storing logs and fuel on a verandah so it won't be getting lifted about, so I've made it with a plywood base for practicalities. Good to get my teeth into precise square work, I find it alot more like cabinet making really, it takes alot of time to get everything even etc, I should probably practice it a bit more than I do to hone my skills .... nice to use some of the colours we've grown, and the workmate was very handy for clamping the chunky lid which wouldn't fit in my basketry clamp 😊
