Oideas iontach daoibh anseo ! Here's a nice cocktail recipe for you !

THE BEES KNEES
- 6 cl 3 SQ Miles
- 2.5 cl Fresh lemon juice
- 2.5 cl Honey syrup
- 1 lemon twist

*Add the 3 ingredients to your cocktail shaker, shake with ice and strain into you best cocktail glass !

The honey provides warm, floral undertones that aren't present in sugar and which create a complex maze of flavor !
Our first choice is naturally Cape Clear honey but you can try other honey's in this cocktail, and these can affect the flavor profile enormously. So why not find the one that suits you best and enjoy a well deserved and mellow evening.

Nach iontach an meascán é seo, jin blasta an Oileáin le blas úr na mara meascaithe le míl speisialta an Oileáin. Céad fáilte go Cléire.

Slainte mhaith !

Ireland's best coastal gin is now to be delivered by sea.

Secure your limited edition engraved bottle of our double award winning Gin to celebrate the inaugural Community & Cargo voyage of the Ilen this August and September.

Cape Clear Island is strongly associated with the Historic Ilen Sail-Cargo Ship because it was two Cadogan sailors from the Island who sailed her from Baltimore to the Faulklands in 1926-27.

This year’s voyage, to bring cargo by sail to picturesque and historic small ports and communities along the Wild Atlantic Way recalls the great days of sail and speaks to modern concerns regarding sustainability, the slow food movement and the strong and enduring bonds between our coastal communities.

Our 3 Sq Miles Gin has recently won prestigious awards in the 2020 San Francisco and London International Spirits Competitions and is made with Laminaria Digitata, Honeysuckle and Fuchsia, all harvested by hand on the Island.
This special limited edition engraved bottle has the Ilen logo and the names of participating ports, Oileán Cléire, An Daingean, Kilrush, Foynes, Limerick City and Cill Rónáin. These will cost €50 each and will be delivered to retail outlets in each location:-
Garveys Supervalue, An Daingean, 066-9151397.
Centra Off Licence, Foynes, 065-65534
No 21 Off Licence, Ballinacurra, Limerick City. 061-317489
Next Door Off Licence, Kilrush, 065-9062598
Spar, Cill Rónain, 099-61203
The vogage will eventually return to Cork City with a different consignment.
These bottles can be pre ordered through Cape Clear Distillery, www.capecleardistillery.com or through participating outlets. There will be a contribution to the Ilen Fund for each case delivered.

Our Skipper Niamh is very busy these days, iontach an cailìn

How about two fantastic Brand Ambassadors ? we show our Cork City Brand Ambassador, Niamh Ní Drisceoil who has already , by all accounts, hit the ground running ?. So with Co Cork and further afield well covered and with top class distributors, Classic Drinks lined up, we can all be Brand Ambassadors in this region, if its not on the Top Shelf ask for it and hopefully it will be there next time round !. Cléire abú, nach iontach go bhfuil bheirt chomh héifeachtach againn chun an jin a chur chun chinn i gCorcaigh agus níos faide i gcéin.

If there is anything better than having a Shane on the team its having two Shane's and here we show Shane O Neill busy prepping for the washable panels that will cover the internal walls in the Gin production area. Leaid an gasta críochniúil is ea Shane agus tá taithí nach beag aige or obair den tsóirt seo. We will be working on Sat and Monday next with a break for St Patricks Day and would welcome someone able to do a bit of painting !!.
