Thank you to all who came and celebrated our 30th anniversary with us yesterday. It was a great day, and was wonderful to see old friends and new. Here are some photos from the day, and we very lucky to have a great music session to round it off!

A reminder thar everyone is invited to Holy Hill this coming Sunday July 6 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Bishop Emeritus John Fleming will celebrate Mass at noon, and the Rejoice Gospel Choir from Ballina will sing. There will be tea and tours afterward.

We are having a group work day on Saturday, April 5, to remove some of the trees that fell during the January storm. Please join us if you can. It will begin at 10 am, and we'll serve lunch.

Signs of spring at Holy Hill today (daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses), and a lovely day and brunch to celebrate Sr Pats birthday.

Storm Eowyn hit us last Thursday night, and knocked out our electricity for three days. We have solid fuel stoves and gas hobs in most of the hermitages, so it wasn’t too terrible, but we were relieved when the lights came back on. A lot of trees came down, including one that fell on the roof of Clare hermitage. We also had some damage to the Carrowcullen roof. The clean up looks a bit overwhelming, but we’ll just take it step by step.

As this Christmas season comes to a close we hope that you all had a peaceful and joyful Christmas. We had a lovely Christmas with the liturgies celebrated by Fr Robert Bulbrook (from Canada). As we do each year, yesterday evening, we had our epiphany celebration of mass followed by dinner in the library (with friends and retreatants). We attach some photos from the evening.
We wish you and all your loved ones a blessed and grace-filled 2025 🙏

CHRISTMAS EVE AT HOLY HILL: All are welcome

Everyone is invited to come to Mass in our chapel at 7 pm on Christmas Eve. This will be followed by our annual gathering in the library. We look forward to seeing you.

We always love our Sunday brunches. Here are some photos from last Sundays brunch. In one photo you an see our friend Maude Quinn who came for the weekend and cooked lunch for us. In the other photo we are relaxing after a particularly intense and engaging conversation, getting ready to tackle the dishes!
