Geansaí have been produced in Ireland for over 100 years. Featuring intricate stitch patterns, the lanolin in the thick wool used in these jumpers enhances their water resistance, making them ideal clothing for fishermen working off the coast of Ireland.

What would you like to know about this traditional Irish knitwear?

"We almost didn’t book the bike tour…”

That’s what one guest told us last summer. It wasn’t because they didn’t want to explore Ireland’s Atlantic coast, but because they were worried the hills would slow them down.

And honestly, that’s not the first time we’ve heard this.

With our E-bike holidays, that doesn’t have to be a barrier. Instead, spend your holiday chatting and sharing a laugh, stopping for photos and actually enjoying the landscape together.

Less worrying about the climb, more soaking in Ireland.

From Di**le to the Burren, via fluffy sheep and bold Emperor Moths, we’ve been busy exploring Ireland this month.

Here are a few photos from our trips across Ireland this May.

Did you know that most of our trips are limited to a maximum of eight people?

We find that this is the ideal number to ensure the group stays intimate and has the opportunity to create strong bonds over a week-long adventure.

Led by our expert guides, we travel by minibus. Small group travel allows us to reach destinations that larger vehicles cannot access and navigate routes where the most common traffic is sheep on the road.

Save this post for your next adventure in Ireland. Remember, the best of Ireland is found off the beaten track.

Every knot tells a story. Every sweater is a map.

The traditional Aran Geansaí (jumper) isn’t just knitwear, it’s wearable history. The cable stitch echoes the fisherman’s ropes and strength at sea, while the diamond stitch represents the patchwork fields and hopes of prosperity on the Aran Islands.

Irish heritage in every stitch, layered with meaning, craft and centuries of tradition.

Save this for your packing list: why you need to bring home a real Irish knit.

In a pool of the River Boyne, there lived a salmon. The fish consumed nine hazelnuts that fell into the water and transformed into An Bradán Feasa, the Salmon of Knowledge.

The wisdom of the world was destined to be passed from the salmon to Fionn mac Cumhaill, the creator of the Giant’s Causeway and a legendary Irish hero.

Irish myths and legends are deeply intertwined with the landscape.

In Ireland, some of the best views can be found from the top of a hill.

With a premium E-bike, the climb serves as a backdrop to conversation, ensuring no one is left behind and that everyone shares the experience.

“A soft day” in Ireland is often the best sort of day.

The rain here isn’t a storm, it’s the reason for the 40 shades of green, the mist over the hills and the cosy moments you remember long after the trip ends.

And our guides? Think Mary Poppins-level preparedness. Extra dry bags, spare gear and the local knowledge to know exactly when to duck into a weaver’s shed until the clouds pass.

Because there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong jacket, and we’ve got the spare gear to prove it.

There is a unique scent in the Irish air that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.

It is the earthy, timeless aroma of a turf fire. For centuries, this scent has symbolised warmth, safety, and the promise of a good story waiting to be shared.

Can you sense it?
